As the season 2010/2011 is over, I have planned to buy more English player. Having this, I have bought Danny Guthrie and young defender, Ciaran Clark as my scout reports predicts he will be hit. This season, I will not making vast changes as I believed I’ll already have a good squad that will be there to suprised the “Big Fours”.
Season Expectations
As always, start of the season, new objectives will be draw by Board in order us to achieved for this season. I have setted my objective for this season to reach continental qualification. Having this, Board has been generous to splash $64M for transfer budget and $1.1M wage budget per week. Well, I’m staisfied with the current offer as I have 2 or 3 players to added in my squad.
EPL Title Odds
This season, Sky Bet predicts Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City will be favourites to EPL. I’m suprised to see teams like Arsenal, Manchester United dropping from favourites tag. For our team, with a good run of the results, Sky Bet believe that our team have changes to mount a title challlenge even they not places us amongst the hot favourites for this season. Fair enough, I hope our team will prove that our team are capable to challenge to so called “Big fours”.
Top Rich List
As because of our position last season our ranking has been climbing from 50th to 32nd. Well, good for club stature and well I believe there is more coming from our team as well thi season. Top notch still occupied by Real Madrid. And Newcastle were the least successful, dropping from 38th to 95th.
Season fixtures
Well, this season we start with facing the new promoted team, Cardiff at home. Second game we will facing Hull for away matches
Transfers
This part will be more interesting. I believed all of you also will be exciting when come this part. As I said eralier, this season I’m not very active in transfer market as I have need 2 – 3 players for every department as we have more matches for this season. Also, I have to maintaned Hom Grown players and because of that, I bought Guthrie and Clark.
Players in
Danny Guthrie – CM/DM
I believed that you already know Danny Guthrie. Ex-Liverpool players that playing for Newcastle. I believed this guy should be keep at Liverpool but I’m not sure why as I see thi guy have something to offer. In my team, Guthrie will play as CM with either Box to Box Midfielder ar Deep Playermaker with defend task.
Ciaran Clark
Mainly bought to cover my first team defender and also for future development. May be will play a lot in FA Cup and League Cup matches.
Royston Drenthe – LWB/LM/LW
Actually, I’m searching for left defender to cover my old Shevchuk. Then come this opportunity which is I see a little bargain for us as for Drenthe as he is a good players play for Real Madrid. I will rotate Drenthe with others current left defender. But from time to time, he will also will be play as left wing or left midfield. Fan are very happy that I managed to catch Drenthe.
Nordin Amrabat – LW/RW/FC
Scouting department suggest me this player – Nordin Amrabat and I feel this guy is very good for inside forward play. I have one more player in my mine, Milos Krasic but after doing some research on both players, I decided to bought Amrabat. He will be first team players that will be rotated between, Buonanotte, Krivets and Namouchi.
Players Out
Well this season, I have to sold Skonjsberg as I have replacement in place – Clark. Good luck to him. Others player is send for loan to gain more experiences before I’m consider them to be first team in near future.

Hi Zam, its always very expensive to buy home grown players and i think its too much using 15 million to pay for Danny Guthrie. If you have some money to spend, probably can invest in some youth for future Wolves first team.
Only few new signings so i don’t think your players have any problem in gelling. Lets see how Wolves fare this season and i wish you all the best for the upcoming season.
@Lye : Agreed. But Guthrie not a worst players at all. He showing anonymous work rate friendly. And I believed that i can turn him into decent players.

@Tuckersears: I’m using him as a “poacher” in 4-5-1 formation as wingers act as Inside forwards to supply Welliton. Krivets and Buonanotte give a good supplied to Welliton.
