First match, we started with new promoted Cardiff. Well, no mercy fro them even they are new but we don’t want our team to be be victim of odds. So, I had analyse the team and make sure my player be prepared. Still this first match, I need all players to impress me as I need to sort out first team for every matches.

August Fixtures/Results

First match played at home give us more advantage as always opponents will be takes negative tactics, defend from start of the match. But I’m not even about that cause I will instruct my team to attack from the start.

Wolves vs Cardiff

I select my first eleven based on previous friendlies performance. But for forward I have more confidence with Welliton ove Doyle as he is a top goal scorer for us for last season and hope he will repeat that perfomance for this season. Well like see on above screenshot, there are fair amount of shots that our team had but we only got 1 goal and it’s come from our subsitute – Doyle. What a relief. I hold my breath for most 70 minutes to wait for this goal. I’m not sure why but this match cannot be taken for granted. We have to win against lesser team and pick up more point against biggers team. Fair enough for first match. But I had told my players to not get complacent for next match as we face experience team with a good squad.

Hull vs Wolves

For first match, I can see Welliton struggle to make an impact. But I’m still confidence that he will repeat a superb perfomance that he played last season. Well absolute right as match against Hull, Welliton scored hattrick and not just that, we win with 6 goals margin. What a game! And now I believe that I have a squad with a full of surprised.

Wolves vs Everton

Last season, we didn’t managed to get even draw against Everton. Well this season with good squad harmony and bond between my players, we managed to get a first win against Everton. My confidence pay a price as Welliton scored in this match.

Bolton vs Wolves

2nd away match, we face physical team Bolton. Well said, our team managed to win this game with 2 goals margin which Bolton scored first before Welliton, again levelled the score. The best things is my tweak on set pieces corner work very well which Kryvstov with a good header managed to scored from corner. Unfortunate for us as Rakitic injured in this match. Rakitic is a main reason why our team played very well for first 4 matches for this season. Hope he will ge well soon.

Summary

Overall, I’m pleased with my team performance even first match against Cardiff we only got a last minute goal from Doyle. Also, I’m happy that my last season top goal scorer, Welliton start to picking up the goals.
